I once read in The Path by Michael Puett and Christine Gross-Loh that describing yourself can be a dangerous thing to do. If we believe ourselves to be one way, we act to conform to our own (attributed) understanding of who we are. I see it on memes a lot these days. Gemini: “I can’t help cheating on boyfriends, I am a Gemini.” Friend: “No, you are just someone who cheats on your boyfriends.”
Through this blog, I will tell you more about who I currently am. Through my travels, interests, ideas, and the many things I am able to learn. Because we change all the time, and it’s up to ourselves to make the best of it.
I currently:
- write this blog
- study Chinese Philosophy in Shanghai
- am trying to figure out what I want to do once I graduate
- still dream to be a pilot
- am a fan of Tiny Habits to improve my life by 1% every day
- aim to achieve set short term goals
- speak to my pineal gland every morning to integrate the necessary and beautiful things into my every day
- love elephants and am pretty sure the cuteness below is partly how I came into existence
